Rhode Island College invites applicants for the positions of Technical Assistance Specialist, Early Intervention. This is a full-time, calendar year, temporary renewable contingent upon funding position.

The individual will assist the Sherlock Center Early Intervention Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator to provide training and technical assistance to Rhode Island Early Intervention Service Providers.

Paul V. Sherlock Center on Disabilities is seeking to hire a full-time Technical Assistance Specialist to join an established team of Early Intervention project staff to support RI’s Early Intervention Agencies, providers, and the children and families they serve. Individuals in this position collaborate with the Early Intervention Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator and with the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services to conduct ongoing needs assessments, provide targeted technical assistance, and professional development to individuals who work in Early Intervention and other related programs.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood, family studies, or a related field.
• Three to five years’ experience as an Early Intervention service provider, parent consultant, or other related position.
• Knowledge of RI Early intervention system
• Knowledge of child development
• Knowledge of family supports and family resources available in RI

• Life experience with individuals with disabilities and/or their families.
• Bilingual
