Chamber President Laurie White recently spoke with Secretary of State Gregg Amore.

Secretary Amore announced his campaign to run for Secretary of State in September of 2021. He went on to win election in November of 2022. He was sworn into office on January 3, 2023 as the thirtieth Rhode Island Secretary of State.
 

 

The two discussed Secretary Amore's first 100 days in office, his background as a state representative and educator, business support services, civic engagement and education initiatives, workshops for small business and entrepreneurs, the Secretary of State's business data hub, integrity of the elections process, the upcoming special election in the 1st Congressional District and opportunities for students to learn how government works though the Secretary of State's student liaison program.
